I think this book is an excellent purchase and is well written which gives the younger generation all the fundamentals that is required to lead a fulfilled and successful life. Rich in values. Even though, this is aimed at the younger generation to give them some perspective. I believe that there is no restriction in age of what you can learn, and it's never too late to install good honest values in all of us. I would recommend.

I love this book! The beautiful illustrations throughout the book helps to capture the imagination of Makeda's journey. I would recommend this to all black children or those who aspire to be exceptional in life. I myself found this book informative and wish I had access to it when I was younger, as I know I would have made better choices. Overall, my daughter loves it, and this is another great book to our collection.
